ARTHM is a project to give people resonant new hope and meaning in ways that they may not have previously experienced. ARTHM has now seen thousands witness the power of classical music through its concerts, intimate educational events and music classes. In the midst of a rapid trajectory of development, we notice the tendency for the arts to be devalued, and so for a shared cultural sensibility to be lost. In this context, ARTHM seeks to bring its community a profound exposure to the arts.
Like the East-West Divan orchestra, ARTHM presents not just a project but a dynamic opportunity for conversation to revive the spirts of people through the power of music. Working within the community, ARTHM’s aim is to bring people together regardless of socio-economic status, facilitating dialogue and connection through inspiring performances and comprehensive education.
ARTHM strategically reaches everyone from low-income, to tech, to the affluent in an effort create cohesion and connection.
On 19th January 2025, ARTHM will officially launch its vision for a concert hall that will eventually bring its concert series, education programs and youth orchestra under one roof.
EDUCATION
ARTHM has been involved in low-income communities for several years providing an entire spectrum of education that ranges from individual lessons to masterclasses and music appreciation programs. Students interact with visiting artists, learning not only from their professional advice but also from hearing about their life experiences. Such interactions are highly impactful, providing students with a broader perspective of the musical journey.
ORCHESTRA
Hyderabad Youth Orchestra is an emerging project that is bringing together students from varying and complex backgrounds, and focusing on creating dialogue between low-income and affluent students. Focusing on basics and instrumental technique, we lay the foundation for high-quality study that will last many generations. Collaborating in chamber music groups alongside the orchestra creates interactions of connection and empathy among students.
CONCERTS
Over the past 10 years, ARTHM has organised more than 30 concerts, 3 Music Festivals, and numerous community events featuring international artists. Musicians from Berlin, London, and New York have performed to sold-out audiences, acquainting a local audience with a rich variety of Chamber Music, Art Songs, and solo performance repertoire. Over 5000 people have attended and become a part of the new concert attendance environment in Hyderabad.
CONCERT HALL
ARTHOME emerges as an exciting new chapter in Hyderabad’s cultural landscape. This projected venue for the performing arts promises to be a dynamic meeting point for artists, world-class performers, and enthusiastic audiences. Nestled within a centrally located four- acre site in the heart of Hyderabad, ARTHOME is a concert hall poised to become an architectural centrepiece, offering an oasis for artistic expression.
